High School

How it Works

Starting on September 24, you will have the opportunity to submit your idea on www.NextBrightIdea.com. You can submit a video or a few paragraphs explaining why you have the Next Bright Idea directly to the site.

If you are under 18, you must have parental approval before adding your idea.

The submission deadline is October 31st. When the competition closes, the judges will begin reviewing all submissions for Creativity of idea, Viability of idea, Scalability of idea, Benefit to the Greater Lansing region and Presentation skills.

The Top 5 Finalists will be notified of their invitation to participate in the Next Bright Idea presentation event.

On pitch night, November 27, 5 finalists will be required to present their ideas to a panel of judges. The presentation cannot exceed 2 minutes each. The judges will deliberate and announce the 3 winners. The all participants will receive prizes.
